Ahoy! We’re excited to share that we are about to start an MTS church apprenticeship. From December 2025 to December 2027 we’ll be engaged in two years of practical gospel ministry with Hunter Bible Church. 

I, Sam, have spent the last few years working as a control systems engineer, which has been interesting and challenging. I’ve decided to put that aside, however, to give MTS a go. I’ve spent years considering doing this, and came to the conclusion that Jesus and his gospel going out are far more important than my comfort or my bank account. There’s going to be a lot of challenges, but through the ups and downs I’m keen to put full gusto into serving God, his people and the lost!

I, Emily, have been working as a chemical engineer for the past 2 years. While this work can be exciting, it does not compare to the excitement of people hearing the great news of Jesus and turning from death to life! For a while now, I’ve been challenged to think about how I can use my whole life for God’s kingdom, so I’ve decided to take the next step and pursue MTS. I’m looking forward to seeing how God uses me in my weakness as a part of his plan to save people.

We’re doing this to help us figure out how best we can serve Jesus with the rest of our lives, because we’re convinced that Jesus and his gospel is the most important thing anyone can hear!

We’d love to invite you to partner with us in the gospel over the next two years. Please be praying particularly for:

  • Thank God for the salvation we have received through Jesus

  • Ask that we will prayerfully depend on God and persevere in our faith - both in the easy and hard times

  • Pray that this will prepare us well for a lifetime of full time ministry

  • Pray that God will be working through us to reach the lost in Newy & Lake Mac

  • Ask God to keep strengthening our marriage, that we will grow in love for each other while both doing MTS
