Canon & Catholicism
A Kings’ Birthday Long Weekend Special Event
Join us for a morning exploring the origins, authority, and reliability of the Christian canon*, and the key theological differences between Roman Catholicism and Reformed Protestant Christianity. Through thoughtful teaching and open discussion, we’ll examine questions of Scripture, tradition, church authority, and the gospel itself — engaging both history and theology with clarity, conviction, and grace. Whether you’re curious, sceptical, or wanting to deepen your understanding of the Christian faith, this event is designed to equip and encourage meaningful conversation.

*The word canon comes from a Greek word (kanōn) meaning a rule, measuring rod, or standard. When Christians talk about the "canon of Scripture," they mean the books that are accepted as God's written word and serve as the standard for faith and practice.
