The Connect Series

The Connect Series

Hunter Bible Church (map)

If you’re new or you’ve been around church for a while but haven’t yet connected into the community here, The Connect Series is for you!

We want to be upfront about what we are like as a church, what drives us, and where we see God taking us. That’s why we run the Connect Series.

The Connect Series is how you can find out more about Hunter Bible Church, what we believe and where we’re going. It’s an opportunity to get to know other people around church, meet some of the pastors, including our senior pastor Greg, and hear what we are passionate about as a church.

An easy 3 week course explaining how Jesus Christ is the way to life for everyone, everywhere

Jesus Christ lived in our world 2000 years ago. Whether you’re from Africa, Asia, America or Australia, he entered your world and showed the Way to Life for everyone.

But believe it or not, Jesus Christ is still alive as a real person, not a ghost! And that means he has the authority to speak about the way to life.

This 3 week course will help you see that Jesus is for you, no matter who you are.  Join AllNations for relaxed teaching sessions with time for open discussion.

What if...

What if...

Have you ever driven down Myall Rd and wondered, What if…?

If you’ve been to our Garden Suburb Campus over the last few months, you will have noticed the land between Myall Rd and us go from lush, green bushland, to a logging site, to bare ground.

What’s the go with the land?
Who owns it?
What’s happening there?
What if…?

Over the years, God has been outrageously generous to us, as we made plans, purchased, built, and moved into our new home at Garden Suburb - far beyond what we even dared to imagine when the idea of owning a building was first raised. Wouldn’t it be amazing if he blew our minds again?

Come and join us for an evening of information and prayer, as we talk about the land on Myall Rd, what could be, and pray together.

BIG IDEAS NIGHT: Love in the Trenches

BIG IDEAS NIGHT: Love in the Trenches

Hunter Bible Church (map)

What does practical, gritty, messy love look like?

In a world that seems to value self above others, God's church stands out as a different kind of place. Jesus said that the world will know that we are his disciples by the way that we love each other (John 13:35).

At this event, we'll hear from the Bible about Christian love and care; we'll hear from experienced Christians who serve in this space, and we'll walk away with practical tips for putting these big concepts into practice. Come and be encouraged and equipped in Christian care and love and get our heads around what the Bible says about being a loving community.

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. But how are we supposed to love each other, especially when we're feeling uncertain or overwhelmed?

We ❤️ Compassion

Compassion Australia is our long-time partner who has been faithfully releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name for decades. We love the work of Compassion because they understand that everyone's most dire need is to know Jesus. Each year, we celebrate Compassion Sunday right across our church family at different times. This week at church, we’ll celebrate Compassion Sunday together.

Why not take this opportunity to look into who Compassion is, and spend some time praying about how you might be able to partner with them to release kids from poverty in Jesus' name?
