Friday 30th April - Sunday 2nd May, 2021
CRU Lake Mac Camp and Conference Centre
Get Away With Your Church Family
A rare weekend away to deepen your relationships with others at church, to grow together in God’s Word, and to bring Jesus back to the centre of our lives.
Full of challenging Bible teaching, lots of time to hang out, activities, seminars, and a fun kids program, this will be a weekend of memory-making good times. Not to be missed!
Last time we got away…
“I loved meeting people who I see every week but never properly meet. Lots of ‘Yeah, I've seen you around, but never actually met you!’ conversations. Really well organised, great vibe, loved it!”

FAQ
General
Who is LakeMac Weekend Away for?
LakeMac Weekend Away is for anyone at the LakeMac congregation of Hunter Bible Church. It’s a chance to hear challenging Bible teaching and spend time with your church family at HBC:LakeMac.
When is LakeMac Weekend Away?
LakeMac weekend away is running from Friday 30th April - Sunday 2nd May.
The program is still being finalised, but plan to arrive on Friday afternoon to get settled in and ready for the first night session on Friday night.
Where is LakeMac Weekend Away?
We’ll be spending the weekend at the NEW Lake Mac Crusaders site on the West side of the Lake, near Bonnells Bay. You can find more info about the site here. It’s a short 35 minute drive from Eleebana.
Accommodation and Facilities
What is the Accommodation?
The accommodation at LakeMac Cru is brand new and looks fantastic! Each room has a bathroom with either 2, 3 or 6 beds. We will do our best to ensure everyone is catered for with regard to accommodation:
Families - will get their own room so parents and kids are together
Married Couples - we’ll endeavour to put couples together in a room, however cannot promise this depending on how many people register
Unmarried - will be sharing in single-sex rooms
If you have particular concerns or preferences regarding accommodation, please let us know in the comments box on the registration form. We’re keen for this to not prevent people from coming, so do let us know or speak to one of the pastors.
What other activities are there?
The new LakeMac Cru site is right on the Lake, and there’ll be stacks of free time for hanging out as a church family. Feel free to bring kayaks, fishing gear and other water or land-based activities that you might like to do with others during free time!
Kids Program
What will be happening with kids during the weekend?
Lots! There will be a team of Kids Church leaders who will lead and run a whole kids program over the weekend.
Morning Sessions
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, there will be a full kids program full of Bible teaching, fellowship and fun. We’re praying that this weekend will be one where our kids at LakeMac grow heaps too in their knowledge and love for God - it will also mean that parents can have uninterrupted time in the Bible and in fellowship with others while their kids are being cared for.
Evening Sessions
During the night sessions our kids team will be monitoring kids who have already been put to bed, putting kids to bed at certain times (as per parents request) and running activities for those kids who are still awake. There will also be a crying room hooked up to the audio for those parents who want to stay with their child and listen to the talks.
What about RUSH/Youth on Friday night?
We would love everyone to be down at camp for the first session on Friday night - so for those who usually attend RUSH or Youth we would recommend them coming straight down to with their families and skipping RUSH/Youth for the week.
Costs
What are the costs to register?
Adults: $175
High school-aged children: $115
Primary school-aged children: $90
Pre-schoolers (2-5yo): $40
Children under 2: $0
What does the rego fee include?
We’ve done our best to set costs for the weekend as low as possible. Included in the registration fee is: All accommodation, all food (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner & supper) and a full kids team/program. We have only placed a minimal mark-up on adult prices to help account for payment towards the volunteer kids team & to discount kids prices. (Please note kids 0-2: are free).
Is there financial assistance available?
We don't want finances to be an issue for anyone or stop people from missing out on such a fantastic weekend. The benefit of a weekend away like this for our whole church family at LakeMac will be well worth the financial costs. For those of you who would like financial assistance - please let us know at zmetcalfe@hunterbiblechurch.org or touch base with one of the pastors.
