Youth (Years 6–12)

Summer Youth

For Yrs 6- 12

Summer nights with your mates! Youth get together in the evenings to hang out, enjoy epic themed nights, and hear engaging talks that dig into the big things of life and what Jesus has to say about it.
Light snacks provided Wednesday - Thursday, and we’ll close out the week with a Friday night BBQ dinner.

Our Team

Who will be looking after my child?

SUMMER is run by members of Hunter Bible Church who have spent much of the past year preparing games, activities and lessons. All SUMMER leaders are volunteers from our Church community who have been trained by Hunter Bible Church and ALL have completed the appropriate NSW Working with Children Check.

Trained and screened

All SUMMER leaders are trained in their various roles and for the specific age group, they are teaching. We take child protection very seriously, so all the leaders have completed an NSW Working with Children Check. In fact, all their Working with Children Check details is available so you can even check them out yourself.

Role models for your kids

SUMMER leaders are all about 18-24 years old, therefore are natural role models for kids in primary and high school. That’s why we make sure our leaders are the right people for the job. Leaders have demonstrated their commitment to their Christian faith in their convictions and behaviours before being approved.

FAQs

  • Hat, Sunscreen and Insect Repellent

    Please make sure that your child wears a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent (optional). If you do forget, sunscreen will be available on arrival.

  • Check-In

    Check-in will be facilitated by staff on arrival. When you are ready, we will give your child a name tag and a collection sticker. This ensures you are the only person who can collect your child at the end of the session.

    Check-Out

    Each session finishes at 11:30 pm sharp. Please make sure you are available to collect your child at this time.

    If another adult will be collecting your child, please give them the collection sticker to use during pick-up. Alternatively, provide the Registration Leader with the name of the adult who will be collecting your child that day.

    We take child safety very seriously and will not allow unauthorised adults to collect children.
