We love getting together every week as a church family. We open the Bible, we hear and pray about real lives, we sing and spend time actually getting to know one another.

We hold three church meetings every Sunday. Each have their own personality, and yet they all share similarities that make them part of one church.

10am at Lambton High School

Our 10am church meeting has loads of families and kids. We start off with a talk for kids, followed by the leaders of the kids program inviting them to join in the Sprout classes whilst the adults spend time in God's word, pray and worship as a church family.

After the service, there's time to enjoy a cup of coffee and morning tea.

4:30pm at Lambton High School

Our 4:30pm church meeting is a bit laid back. There's a bunch of young families, workers and people of all ages as well as a great kids program that runs during church. As a family, we hear from the Bible, pray to our God and sing together. There's also time after the church meeting to have some coffee and supper, whilst catching up and getting to know each other.

4:30PM AT Eleebana public SCHOOL

Our 4:30pm church meeting at Lake Mac is our newest congregation. There's a bunch of young families, workers and people of all ages as well as a great kids program that runs during church. Just like our other services, we hear from the Bible, pray to our God and sing together.

There's also some coffee and supper after the church meeting to spend some time catching up and getting to know each other.

Newcastle University

DECEMBER AND JANUARY LOCATION

During December and January while the Uni shuts down, Unichurch keeps meeting at Lambton High School (see map here).

What to expect

Dress like you would at the shops. Talk like you would at home. We really want you to forget about what other people think and simply engage with God’s word in the Bible.

Driving?
There’s ample parking at Lambton High School (off Womboin Rd), on the University Campus (near the maths bus stop on Ring Rd) and outside Eleebana Public School. As you drive in there’ll be signs telling you you’re at the right place and where you can park.

Arriving?
As you walk into the venue, there will usually be a few people at the door who’ll say hello and give you an outline for the service. The outline will just have some information about the meeting including the parts of the bible we’ll be looking at.
There’s usually time to grab a coffee or some light refreshments before the meeting starts.

Sitting?
There’s no assigned seats or special rows for certain people. Feel free to sit anywhere you like. It is easier to listen if you’re not right up the back, but just sit where you feel comfortable.
At some point in the meeting, someone will read a part of the bible. Don’t worry if you don’t have one; You can either just listen along or there’ll be some bibles there you can use – and take home if you don’t have one.

Singing & Standing?
During our meetings, we take the opportunity to celebrate how God has been merciful to us by standing and singing together.
You don’t have to sing if you don’t want to, though we hope you find yourself humming along with the tune, and in time, find yourself agreeing with the words being sung.

Ending?
Our meetings usually go for about an hour and a half – though you wouldn’t know it most of the time. At the end of the meeting there’s some light refreshments available.
Rather than leaving straight away, people at Hunter Bible Church usually hang around and chat with each other. Some catch up for lunch or dinner after too.

Leaving?
Before you leave, we’d love to know that you came – and we’d love to know what you thought. There’s usually a feedback card in the outline – please put your name and any comments down on that. We’d love to chat with you about what brought you along to church and how you found it.
